This game is absolutely awesome. I played again today and didn't encounter the same glitch, I got a bit further and this is just such an awesome experience. I can't believe it's free! You should put up a steam page for this, I'm sure you could get some people to buy it. I would ;)

Suggestion: master volume slider, accessible from any menu. Also, the game looks absolutely fantastic, but in some areas it is really dark and makes it hard to see enemies until they are right in front of you. For example, i have a hard time seeing enemies in the first outside area. is there a flashlight or something?

thanks man! I'll look into the bug where you can't open the mystery box with a knife. When you were pressing F, were you trying to pick up the MP5? The only thing where i can think of that could be causing this is that you can't pick up a weapon when another animation with your hands is playing, like a knife attack or drinking animation.
